Should I Organize The GOTY Polls Again?

    Back in 2012 I helmed the Game Of The Year awards and for those who participated they weren't exactly the best we've had considering not many people voted. As a flashback, here are the games that took home awards (for those of you who didn't participate, or who weren't members).

    Game Of The Year: Halo 4
    Disappointment Of The Year: Diablo III
    Worst Game: Dragon's Dogma
    Surprise Of The Year: Dishonored
    Best Competitive: Halo 4
    Best Co-Op: Borderlands 2
    Best Soundtrack: Halo 4
    Best Visuals: FarCry 3
    Best New Character: Vaas (FarCry 3)
    Best New IP: Dishonored
    Best Story: The Walking Dead: Season One
    Best Sequel: Mass Effect 3
    Best Use Of Non-Traditional Controls: ZombiU
    Best Shitter Game (AKA Mobile): Pokemon Black 2/White 2
    Best Remake/Reboot: Persona 4 Golden
    Most Anticipated 2013: Bioshock Infinite
    Best Indie Game: Journey
    Best Add-On/Expansion: Dawnguard (Skyrim)
    Top 5 Games:  The Walking Dead, Borderlands 2, Halo 4, Dishonored, FarCry 3
    Best Free-To-Play: Planetside 2
    Best Game No-One Played: Binary Domain

    So, as you can see. The results are kind of meh, and I was curious if there would be any interest for me to organize this event again this year towards the end of 2014? I'll make a poll, and when the time comes I'll get her all sorted out and ready to go.

    I'd like to see it, but I think we have to be realistic and cut down on the categories. And maybe co-ordinating it with a Twitter vote or something would get a few more votes.

    Totally! I agree with GEFM though, perhaps lessen the amount of categories. :)

    It's weird to see Diablo 3 be the disappointment of the year in 2012, yet that game is going really strong in 2014.

    I'd like to think the expansion helped a lot.

    But yeah, I'd be narrowing down the categories.

    Best Mobile Game (3DS, Vita, iOS, Android)
    Most Anticipated 2015

    Top 5 Games

    Best Game No-One Played


    I think it's the more specific stuff like 'Best Remake' or 'Best Expansion' that should be left out.

    This seems like a no-brainer i would love you to organise this again :).

    Again i agree it would probably be best to cut down the number of categories, the template above looks good.
