  • Good show as always!

I'm interested in this idea that some games can get a "pass" on story because of gameplay. I do agree that FPS games can have really simple plots with nothing special going on and still be considered quite excellent while an RPG with excellent gameplay but not that good of a story is attacked. I suppose it's simply the history of the genres...RPGs have always had more indepth storytelling and plots while others have not. Though that shouldn't be a crutch for FPS games, nor a issue for RPGs.

I actually found it kinda strange that the writer of Dead Space of all things called Epic out on this, for the most part Dead Space's story was exactly the same. Strange and alien species make themselves known and try to kill you, and you have to kill them. I wouldn't have minded so much had it been say a writer for Dragon Age, or The Witcher..... but Dead Space? Really? That's like Burger King calling out McDonalds on it's unhealthy food.
  • I always look for gameplay over story, even in RPGs if the gameplay doesn't grab me, it doesn't matter how good or bad the story is, I don't enjoy it.

A good story is nice, but it's like cake icing to me. .__.
  • How was M.A.G bad? the only thing that killed it was the lag and the many patches that totally changed the game, loved it in the beginning
