Thread: Medieval Times

    Medieval Times

i don't know how many of you guys have went here, but Medieval Times was a huge part of my childhood. it's basically a theme restaurant, they serve chicken and potatoes and shit (that's one of the things: medieval times: no cutlery; you have to eat with your hands. it's quite the experience), but the main draw is as you're eating, you're treated to a spectacular live show of jousting, sword fighting, and general swashbucklery. you were seated in a colored section, and the color of your section corresponded to a knight, and that was your knight; you had to cheer for him to win.

how many of you have been to this awesome restaurant?

I've heard about it, I wish I've been there, sounds awesome!
    where is this located?

I have seen this in movies. It looks awesome. I want to go there. I want them to pick me as a participant whilst I eat with my hands. I want to don on the knight armour. I want to joust with another knight infront of people. Then I want to win with my ninja skills.

A similar beloved childhood of mine to yours would be eating seafood on the harbour. I hate oysters but I'll eat them if I'm on Sydney harbour.

And this got me thinking. If I lived in the medieval ages, what kind of person would I be? I'd imagine that I would be a blacksmith by day and homoerotic "hard gay" bard at night.

    Spoilers: Black Knight loses

They didn't seat me in the colored section!

HAW HAW HAW. I just couldn't resist. Ridiculous! But MT rocks.

I had to use the colored drinking fountains! Haw haw.... too soon?

I went to Medieval Times outside of Chicago earlier this year for my friend Matt's birthday.

He's the one in the middle. I can't think of anything more thug than thug life circa the middle ages.

Here's a pic of me with the white knight. I was dared into pretending I had consumed all those alcoholic beverages AND telling the white knight I loved him. I'm a sucker for a gay dare.

EDIT: That's a flower in my mouth. The knights throw flowers to ladies in the crowd. Matt's girlfriend gave me the flower to make me seem 'gayer'.

SnipingRanger: There are Medieval Times' all over the US (and one in Toronto). Check the website here http://www.medievaltimes.com/ for the one nearest you!

God I hated that show, I'd scream at the tv and I hated how almost all the prizes sucked (MT was really the only good one) and even if they got the red ball (Get any prize you want) they would still pick the crappy ones

As for MT I've never been was supposed to go in grade 6 but they decided not to go there any more the year before so we went skiing (was EPIC) but I think I would have enjoyed MT quite a bit
