4.Captian Planet
The planet is getting trashed by pollution in the nineties,so the spirit of the earth Gaia sends five magic rings, each with the power to control an element of nature and one controlling an extra element, heart, to five chosen youths across the globe...and millions of kids buy cereal boxes just for the hunk of plastic in the bottom. When there powers combine, they can summon the only super hero that could pull off a green mullet, Captian Planet.
It has a chick from the Soviet Union (for the first season at least), this show is history people!

3.Darkwing Duck
Hanna Montana? Pu-leas! Combining Film Noir with Disney cartoons and adding a genuinely catchy theme tune is a recipe for win in my book The closest Disney will ever get to a steampunk/batman hybrid. All these elements of awesome combine into a thing that is more superior than any of disneys output in the last 15 years.

2.Transformers
Undeniably the best action figures a child could have (with plenty of choking parts) this show was all about bad-ass robotic destruction. Over exposure recently and a quite frankly crap live action trilogy have prevented the robots in disguise from getting the top spot. For the record Starscream and Bumblebee are the best decepitcon/autobot. The worst one has to be the autobot at the start of the movie that transforms into... a microscope!?

In the year 2005...

1.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
These guys come with there own action figures, lunchboxes, Real life feature length movies and recognition world wide, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are Pop Culture. With Iconic hero's, bad guys and a love for Pizza they overcame there arch villain, a wrestler with sentient Jelly stick in his torso. Who could forget Shredder, voiced by the Father out of "Fresh Prince of Bel Air". Image restrictions have stopped me putting up pictures of the toy's but My friend across the street had the fold out van with spring mounted missiles and everyone was jealous.

other shows that didn't make the cut include samurai pizza cats, x-men, extreme dinosaurs, sharkie and george, defenders of the universe, Mummies alive, toxic crusaders.

Hmm, I would have assumed that Transformers and TMNT coming out in the late 80s, you would have not put them on the list. Nice list though. Glad to see Darkwing Duck on here.
