So, I worked pretty hard to finish this tonight, and it's still a rough draft with PLENTY of editing to do before I turn it in... but, for those interested, here's an interesting read on Transhumanism. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Human Transcendence The existential philosophers have created theories of the individual and the meaning of their existence. Often is the case that man creates ...
I try my best to stay as healthy as possible. I wash my hands on a regular basis, I shower twice a day, I keep things in mind like "what I've touched" prior to rubbing my eyes or eating food; basically, I do a lot to ensure the slimmest percentage of catching a sickness. Well, I've failed once again. It was bound to happen eventually; I get sick roughly twice a year, and it's been months since my bug. Today was the first day I've chosen to take off of lifting since then. ...
Ok, so lately I've been in a gaming depression. I find it hard to really want to play the games I have. It takes something really special to hook me. Luckily, with Mass Effect 3 around the corner, I decided to jump back in to the series on my PC, starting as a renegade Femshep. I just finished my ME1 playthrough and loved it. I did just about EVERYTHING there is to do in the game, except the trivial bullshit (mining/artifacts) and, while occasionally tedious, I was pretty hooked. ...
Just watch the video and that pretty much explains the situation. What top 10's would you like to see? I've got my notepad ready and I want to hear it! Anything and everything you can think of, just list it below!
I've been thinking about doing some kind of UGC... I'm not sure what, but I want it to be different. It's tough to come up with something new that nobody has done before. Hell, it's near impossible. But, I would like to provide something to the community that is rarely seen. I remember Manio (RIP my friend... I patiently await your resurrection) having the Pen and Paper events where we would write our own stories and such. That is something that has interested me. I'm not the greatest when it comes ...

Ok, I'm feeling lazy, so I'm going to combine yesterday and today's blog. I'll keep yesterday short: The usual workout and food routines (I really should take pictures and post in that thread, but I always forget) were enjoyable. Otherwise, I found myself with a lot of time; I needed it, reading for about 5 hours for one of my classes. I took a few breaks here and there, but man, reading something I don't enjoy feels like it takes twice as long. Other than that, my ...
Yesterday, I remembered why I didn't go out a lot last semester: I hate frats. Also, I realized that I need to do talk to more people. I'm not sure why I don't, actually, because I'm quite a confident person. I've got a few handful of good friends at my school right now, but in a school of 18,000 undergraduates, I'm fairly sure I could have a lot more. The problem is, I don't know how to find the people I would like to be friends with. The fact that I stumbled across one of my closer ...
OK, while a lot has happened in the last few days, I'm going to keep this post to the point. Yes, I'm lazy; deal with it. Yesterday was quite a long day, and it started out pretty awful. Of course I worked out but let's just skip to the negativity. I had bought a $130 book for my business course the day before, and I brought it to my morning lecture. The problem was that my lecture was literally a mile a way, and while I normally don't mind that, it was cold and rainy. ...
The fifth day back but the first day of classes. I started my day off at 6 am, waking up to a rainy morning. It was still dark outside, but I had no time to waste (as far as I knew). My first class was at 8 AM and I wasn't going to be late. I changed my clothes and ran off to the gym. I used the elliptical for 20 minutes while listening to the IGN UK podcast, and ended my morning cardio with a few weighted crunches. It was 7 am by the time my shower was ...
